People will once again be

PAC 'n the Streets  on September 13, 2014.

Here's what folks had to say about PAC'n the Streets '13...

It was a great event! - Lacy King, Mayor of Staunton
We liked this event better than anything we have seen for a long time. It appealed to a broad audience. Our guests responded favorably and went downtown to participate. Other events are ‘targeted’ to a certain group, compared to this event that had a broad appeal. Other events do not attract the attention of our guests. They do not participate. Having many local groups participate with a variety of offerings was part of the appeal”.
“The appeal of your event for children was especially appreciated by us. I can only remember one other event that had the response and appeal of your event…more than 20 years ago”.  -Joe and Evy Harman, Innkeepers, The Frederick House

The Shenandoah Valley Pipe Band performed at this year’s P.A.C. ‘n the Streets in downtown Staunton. The band has performed in downtown Staunton on several previous occasions, but this was by far the best experience we’ve had. It was extremely well planned, and communication with the sponsors of the event was excellent! There was a great variety of music and entertainment available throughout the day, and the events ran like clockwork! Kudos to those who planned and organized this event. We will definitely support their efforts again, as this is a wonderful community building venture. The weather cooperated beautifully, and I look forward to another great experience in September 2014!”  -Kathy Hawkins, Entertainer, Shenandoah Valley Pipe Band

PAC'N '14 Everyone's a Winner Drawing

My experience participating as a vendor in the 2013 100th year celebration of the New Theater was a very pleasant one. Everyone that was in charge of hosting the show was very kind and helpful. It was a perfect autumn day which brought a nice crowd to enjoy the festivities. All of the entertainment was good, but my personal favorite was the minstrel with his monkey who walked around interacting with the crowd. It was fun to watch the children’s reaction to the monkey’s tricks, and then later as the same man dressed as Uncle Sam walked about on stilts. Another highlight for me was seeing all of the period costumes that were worn by a variety of people. I really enjoyed participating in the event and look forward to next year! -Demetra Turner, Artisan Vendor
