The Staunton Performing Arts Center will be a regional state-of-the-art theatre for local and visiting artists and will offer diverse, high-quality performances to enrich the lives of Shenandoah Valley citizens and visitors of all ages and interests.

• The historic Dixie Theatre in downtown Staunton is renovated as a facility for performances on stage and screen and restored to its 1936 art moderne appearance.
• Renowned national and international performers and touring companies come to Staunton, opening a window on the world.
• Artists and arts organizations of the Shenandoah Valley have a visible and appropriate venue for their performances.
• The Staunton Performing Arts Center creates a place congenial to new work and new artists in a community known for its cultural vitality.
